We Are MITY

A field guide for an ordinary Tuesday.

This book exists because of five others. The Mighty Change, Mastered Through the Master, Illuminated By His Touch, Forged in His Fire, and Bound To His Blood are novels. They follow friends through years of asking, carving, slipping, staying, and learning what it costs to hitch a life to Jesus Christ. We Are MITY is not a retelling. It will not walk those plots or spend their endings. It follows the same inner order and turns it into practice.

If you have walked that road with them, you may hear echoes. Let them be echoes. If you have never opened a single page of the fiction, you are not late. You are not behind. The road is the road. The Master is the Master. The blood is real whether or not you know a group of seniors by name.

Recognition. Smallness. The larger belonging of our humanity. A door marked MITY Four unfancy keys: asking, hearing, understanding, nurturing. Then the work those motions name — Mastered, Illuminated, Tempered, Yoked — taken into a kitchen, a hallway, a dark week, and the morning after.

Not a personality project. Not a forty-day guarantee. Not a logo to live inside. A hitch that still works when nothing glows and nobody is grading you.

If these pages only give you language to decorate a life you do not intend to hitch, leave the language. Take the asking. Start there.
