For makers
A place in the house
The house is a place the work can sit, beside a catalog people already come to see. Another door, well marked, where a book or a song can gain attention it would not get alone. Not a cut of your royalties. If you already know what you are doing, buy the rooms — one for each branch the work lives in. A sitting is counsel, for when you want the house in the room with you. You do not have to buy one.
A place in the house is a listing, not a publishing deal. Your work, your store, your royalties. The card does not replace the door you already have. It sits next to it. Brass, Equinox, and Watch are sittings: time with the house on a schedule, and the rooms come with the seat. If you do not need that counsel, skip the sittings and buy only the rooms.
01
Bring it
Send the work. Page, song, voice, or picture. Say which branch it belongs in. A few honest lines beat a pitch deck.
02
We look
If it belongs here, you will hear back. If it does not, you will hear that too. Silence is not a strategy.
03
One fee
Rooms alone if you already know the work. One room for one branch. More rooms if it lives in more than one genre. A sitting only if you want counsel with the listing. Either fee is for one year. Renew in the last month of that year, or the card comes down. No percentage of your royalties for a card.
04
The card goes up
Jacket, still, or track. Synopsis, branch, and a way back to you. The card stays up for the year you paid. Send the link to your store if you have one — KDP, Bandcamp, Payhip, your own Stripe. It goes on the card. You still own the work.
What a place includes
- A card in the MTX catalog, under the right branch
- The house mark beside the work — not instead of your name
- A page people can send, share, and find
- A buy button on the card that leaves MTX and opens your store. That money never hits this house.
- You keep your royalties. The listing is not a split.
- Counsel, only if you want it. A sitting is time with the house, not a requirement. Brass is once a year and includes one room. Equinox is twice a year and includes two. Watch is four times a year and includes the whole house. Need more doors than the seat holds? Step up a seat — or stay and pay $97 for each extra room. The Hour is one sitting when you already have a card; it does not include rooms.
What this is not
- A subscription that charges itself. Rooms and sittings are one year. You renew in the last month of that year, or the card comes down when the year ends.
- A royalty split for the privilege of a card
- MTX taking payment for your book or song as part of the listing
- An advance, a label, or a promise that the work will sell
- A membership anyone can buy without the work being received
- Weekly coaching, on-demand hours, or someone else making the work for you
- Unlimited extra calls because you paid for a year of sittings
The fee
Rooms if you already know the work. A sitting if you want counsel.
A room is a branch: books, music, or visual arts. Count the branches the work lives in, and buy that many doors. Three is the whole house. The fee is for one year. Renew in the last month of that year, or the card comes down. A sitting is the same year — Brass once, Equinox twice, Watch four times — and you renew it the same way. If you do not need the counsel, do not buy the sitting. You still bring the work first.
One room
$97a year
You already know the work. It lives in one branch — a book, a song, or a picture. The card sits in that room for one year. Renew in the last month, or it comes down. No sitting. No counsel. Skip this if you take Brass — one room is already in that seat.
Two rooms
$147a year
The work crosses two genres. A book and a song. A song and a picture. Two rooms for one year, still your store and your royalties. Renew in the last month. No sitting unless you ask for one. Skip this if you take Equinox. Brass plus a second room is Equinox, or Brass plus $97 for that same year.
The whole house
$197a year
Three branches, one year. Books, music, and visual arts. Renew in the last month or the cards come down. Skip this if you take Watch — the whole house is already in that seat.
The sittings
Brass. Equinox. Watch. The Hour.
A sitting is a meeting for one year, not a requirement. Brass once. Equinox twice. Watch once a season. The rooms named with the seat come with it. Renew in the last month, or the year ends. If you already know what you are doing, stay with the rooms above.

Once a year · 1 sitting
Brass
$197a year
The year. Not a month.
A sitting is one meeting in the year with someone who will look at the work with you: what shipped, what stalled, what to do next. One room comes with it, for that same year. Renew in the last month or both the sitting and the room end. You do not need this if you already know the path. Need two doors? That is Equinox — unless you stay on Brass and pay $97 for the second room.

Twice a year · 2 sittings
Equinox
$359a year
The year. Not a month.
Two sittings. Mid-year and the close. Two rooms come with them, for one year. Renew in the last month or the year ends. Buy this only if you want that counsel. Need a third door? $97 more, or Watch.

Quarterly · 4 sittings
Watch
$629a year
The year. Not a month.
Four sittings, one a season, and every room in the house, for one year. Renew in the last month or it ends. For a maker who wants a look each quarter. If you do not want four meetings, do not buy Watch. Buy the rooms instead.

When you ask · 1 sitting
The Hour
$129once
When you ask. Not a year.
You are already in the house. You write. You need a look. Forty-five minutes, a recap, the door closes. Not a month. Not a year. Not a table. If you need another Hour, you buy another Hour. If you want a cadence, that is Brass, Equinox, or Watch. Does not credit toward those seats.
Rooms and sittings are one year, not a permanent place. Renew in the last month of that year. If you do not, the card comes down when the year ends. The work stays yours. Brass includes one room. Equinox includes two. Watch includes the whole house. Need more doors than the seat holds? The house will name Equinox or Watch first. You can refuse and stay — $97 for each extra room, for that same year. There is no monthly, and nothing charges itself. The Hour is one sitting when you already have a card; it is not a year, it does not include rooms, and it does not credit toward a cadence. If you take a lower cadence and later upgrade in the same year, what you have already paid is credited toward the higher seat. You pay the difference. Rooms you already received in the lower seat are not charged twice. We do not refund a step down. Does not include writing the book, a full read with notes, formatting, running ads, or extra calls. Those are quoted as work, in writing.
Have a code
Buy opens this field. Stripe does not.
Click Buy on a sitting and you land here. You will not have a code until we write the deal and generate one. Wrong code, old code, or no code: the door stays shut.
In writing
The house, said plainly.
01 · Who pays, and when
You bring the work first. MTX takes it in. If it belongs in the house, we name the rooms and whether a sitting comes with them. Buy on this page opens a code field — not Stripe. When we have a deal, you get a code. Enter it. Then checkout opens. A stranger with a card and nothing to show cannot complete a sitting or a listing.
02 · What the fee buys
A place in the catalog for one year: jacket or still, synopsis, the right branch or branches, and a door back to you. The house is another place the work can sit and be seen — not a promise it will sell, a real shelf next to work people already came to look at. If you have a store, that door can be a buy link on the card — your checkout, not ours. The house mark sits beside your name. It does not replace it. Rooms are that landing, paid for the year. Buy as many rooms as the work has genres. Renew in the last month of the year, or the card comes down. Brass, Equinox, and Watch are the same landing plus sittings, for that same year, and the rooms named with the seat are included so you do not pay the room prices on top.
03 · Royalties
You keep them. Amazon, Bandcamp, Payhip, DistroKid, your own Stripe, your own merch — those payouts are yours. MTX does not take a percentage of your royalties in exchange for a card. A house edition — we publish it, our imprint, our ISBN — is a different door and a different contract. It is not this page.
04 · Their store
Send one buy link you control. It goes on your card. The click leaves MTX. We do not iframe your checkout, we do not collect the card, and that money never passes through the house. Refunds, shipping, and the store working are yours. MTX merch (a shirt we print, a bookmark we sign) is a different door and uses our Stripe. A split, if we ever write one, is a different door too.
05 · Who owns what
You own the work. The house owns this site, the catalog page, and the mark. We can take a card down if the work no longer belongs here. Taking a card down does not transfer your book, your song, or your name to us.
06 · The four rooms
Books. Music. Visual arts. Count the branches the work actually lives in. That number is the rooms purchase, if you already know what you are doing and do not want a sitting. One branch, one room. Two branches, two rooms. All three is the whole house. Brass is one door plus one sitting. Equinox is two doors plus two sittings. Watch is all three doors plus four sittings. Extra doors beyond a seat are $97 each, or you take the next seat. There is no fourth package.
07 · Counsel
Skip this if you do not need counsel. The rooms are the whole purchase, and they last one year. A sitting is a meeting about work you are already making: what shipped, what stalled, what the numbers say, what to do next. It is not a class, and it is not someone else writing the book. Brass is one sitting and one room ($197 for the year). Equinox is two sittings and two rooms ($359 for the year). Watch is four sittings and all three rooms ($629 for the year). Renew in the last month of that year, or the seat and the rooms end together. There is no monthly charge. If you want Brass but two doors, the house names Equinox first. You may stay on Brass and pay $97 for the second room that year. The third room is the whole house. The Hour is one sitting when someone already in the house asks ($129 once). It is not a year. It does not include rooms and does not credit toward Brass, Equinox, or Watch.
08 · Upgrades
The ladder is Brass, Equinox, Watch. If you are on a lower seat and we agree to a higher one in the same year, every dollar you have already paid MTX for that sitting this year is credited toward the new price. You pay the difference. A new code is issued. The old sitting ends. Rooms already included in the lower seat are not charged again. Credit does not move the other way. We do not refund a step down or unused sittings. Rooms-only fees do not credit toward a sitting. $97 extra-room fees do not credit toward Equinox or Watch. The Hour does not credit toward anything.
09 · Money
Rooms are one year, paid to the house through Stripe, after a code. A sitting is one year, paid the same way, and already includes the rooms named with it — you do not also pay the room prices. Extra rooms on a lower seat are $97 each for that same year, after a code. Renew in the last month of the year. Nothing renews itself. If you do not renew, the card comes down when the year ends. The Hour is one meeting and is not a year. A sitting is not refunded because you skipped it. Rooms are not refunded because the work did not sell. If we decline the work before you pay for a place, you pay nothing.
The door
Bring the work. If it belongs, we name the rooms — or the sitting that already holds them.
The card goes up after the fee. Reach connect@mtxmediagroup.com — or the door below. If you already know the work, buy only the rooms. Brass, Equinox, and Watch are counsel, and they include the rooms named with them. Publishing — the House edits the book and puts its imprint on it — is a different door, and it is not open until January 1.
