Forged in His Fire

Book 4 of The MITY Journey Series.

Carving was chosen pressure. This year is heat they do not schedule.

Homecoming is supposed to be tape and music. Instead the friends learn what metal does when a door opens, a rumor starts, a kitchen boils, a party turns, a mirror lies, a screen will not stay shut. Armor from an old letter of Paul stops being a poster and starts being something you put on in the morning and find slipping by December.

Seniors feel the edge of leaving. Juniors feel the edge of remaining. Forged in His Fire is about truth, a guarded heart, peace that is a chair instead of a mile, faith in a room that mocks it, and the unlisted piece that keeps any of it on a living body: prayer.
