If You Know, Then Go

Here Am I — Missionary Edition.

If You Know, Then Go is the same sentence as Here Am I, turned toward the door. The first book is a whole life answering, “Send me.” This one is for the years when that answer has to become a mission: ages twelve through twenty-three, from a deacon or young woman just beginning to feel the Spirit, to the papers, the call, the field, and the day you come home and the schedule disappears.

The principle is plain. Knowledge that stays seated produces nothing. Nephi knew the command and went. Laman and Lemuel knew it and did not. The rich young ruler knew. Agrippa almost knew. The wise virgins went in time. This book is not a scolding. It is the pattern: read, ponder, pray, act, record. A first step still counts as going.

Four sections carry the preparation. Why you serve. Who you are, and what it costs. How to help someone else come unto Christ. How to step forward — leaders, practical readiness, a call that comes from God, and consecration that is not a mood. Each chapter ends with a week’s go, scaled for 12–15, 16–18, and 19–23.

The epilogue refuses the myth that a mission is the peak. Return with honor means the mission becomes the floor you build on: marriage, work, callings, trials, and a lifelong share in the gathering. The answer “Here am I” was never for eighteen months.

It drops the same day as Here Am I because the two books are one invitation. One is the yes. This is the going.
