The Offering

Coming Dec 1, 2026Books

Luzia is seventeen and already tired of being the glue.

Her parents are tearing the house apart. Her younger sister, Mira, is being worn down by a bully who will not stop. Luzia keeps trying to hold everyone together, and the harder she grips, the more she disappears. The summer before her senior year, she takes a job as a camp counselor, hoping the mountain will give her a few days away from the noise.

It does not stay quiet.

At a campfire she hears an old story about a shaman who offered what he actually had, and received light in return. A mysterious man named Elias places a small pouch of stones in her hands and leaves her with a harder question than the one she brought up the mountain: what can she offer when she has nothing left to manage with?

Then home comes back. Mira breaks. A boy named Rowan, who has already walked a similar path, keeps showing up without trying to save her. The bully, Trevor, is forced to look at the damage he has done. Faith, if it comes, does not arrive as a speech. It arrives as a practice — an eye that learns to see, a heart that learns to hope, hands that learn to open.

The Offering is a novel about family fracture, bullying, depression, and the long work of becoming someone who can stay in the light without pretending the dark never happened. Original songs live inside the story. At each turning point, a code in the book opens the music that belongs to that moment.

Not a book you only read. A story you can carry — and hear.
